How can I apply for the Industrial Ecology program?
International students can apply at the admissions office of Leiden University. At the moment it is not possible to apply at Delft University of Technology. A detailed description of the procedure and an application form are available at http://www.leidenuniv.nl/en/application/
I have a question about registration, where do I go?
If your questions concern technical matters of administration you should contact the international office: http://www.leiden.edu/io/. For questions related to the content of the Industrial Ecology program you should contact the program coordinator, mr. Gijsbert Korevaar.
What are the fees?

Where should I live?
The Industrial Ecology students are living in all three cities participating in the Industrial Ecology program. Some students move to another city for a change of view, or preferred atmosphere. What are my job opportunities?
Industrial Ecology is a emerging discipline so an ‘Industrial Ecologist’ is not a vacancy you will meet regularly. We do think that this will be the case in the near future. See career perspectives.
How long does it take to travel between the universities?
By train it takes about 30 minutes from Leiden to Rotterdam. Delft is located almost halfway. Time to travel to and from the station has to be added, but usually it takes no more than 15 minutes to reach the station in each of the cities.
What about travelling costs?
At the moment travelling costs are at the students’ expense. For the entire year you will have to count on travelling costs of E400-500.
What will be the costs for books and readers?
During the year you will need to purchase some books and readers. In total this will amount to a maximum of 400 euro.
What kind of degree will I receive after completion of the programme?
You will receive a Master of Science degree. Currently you will receive a degree in chemistry, with a specialization in Industrial Ecology. When the program is formally accredited you will receive a MSc in Industrial Ecology. For more information look at the application section.
